Since Sony Interactive Entertainment founded PlayStation Productions We have received several announcements of video game adaptations for cinema or television, and one of them is that of Horizon Zero Dawn which will be produced by Netflix. Today the streaming company announced that the person in charge of the Horizon Zero Dawn series is Steve Blackman, the showrunner of The Umbrella Academy.
The Umbrella Academy is a series based on the comics by Gerard Way whose first season was published on Netflix in 2019. This week the fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy was announced, in addition to confirming that the next project of Steve Blackman is the Horizon Zero Dawn series, as well as Orbital.

Steve Blackman talked a bit about it and gave a lot of praise for the Guerrilla Games game, saying that “Horizon Zero Dawn is an exceptionally well-made game with amazing characters that you don’t see often in the gaming world.”. Blackman also spoke highly of the world that the developers at Guerrilla Games have created.
Although there are not many details about the adaptation of Horizon Zero Dawn so far, Steve Blackman confirmed that Aloy will be the protagonist of the series, as well as in the video games. Blackman also announced that Michelle Lovretta will be the other writer on the series and they are very excited to bring this intellectual property to another medium.
The announcement of a Horizon Zero Dawn series came in May, but more PlayStation video game-inspired adaptations have since been announced. PlayStation Productions is currently working on adaptations of Gravity Rush, The Last of Us, Gran Turismo, Horizon Zero Dawn, Twisted Metal, Days Gone and God of War, but we’ll have to wait a couple of years to see them on our televisions.
