Last October, after several leaks, Samsung released its new Galaxy F family of photographic phones with the official presentation of the Galaxy F41. East low-mid-range terminal It had, among other virtues, a triple rear camera, a sAMOLED screen and a 6,000 mAh battery.
Now his successor is about to arrive. The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G will see the light next week, specifically, on Wednesday, September 29. There are still 6 days left, but its product page has already appeared on Flipkart, anticipating its design and some of its most important features.
Up to 12 5G bands, but less battery
September 29 is the day chosen by Samsung to officially launch its new Galaxy F series device. The successor of the Galaxy F41 already has its own product page on the Flipkart e-commerce platform with several images that let us see several differences with its predecessor in terms of design.
To begin with, we observe a textured back with a square camera module instead of a rectangular one and without a fingerprint reader, which is now moved to the side. The screen, whose diagonal is unknown, will have FullHD + resolution and, as a novelty, a refresh rate of 90 Hz.
The front camera is once again housed in a small drop-shaped notch (Infinity-V instead of Infinity-U, like the F41), but its resolution is unknown. The rear camera, meanwhile, maintains the triple configuration and the 64 megapixel main sensor, but now it has a night mode.
The great difference of the Galaxy F42 5G with respect to its predecessor we have it in the processor, or rather, in the connectivity. The product page does not talk about the chipset that will mount the new Samsung phone (its passage through Geekbench announced that it would be the Dimensity 700), but it does confirm that will support up to 12 5G bands. A great advance over the Galaxy F41, which opted for the Exynos 9611 and was therefore only compatible with the 4G / LTE network.
It is striking, however, that the Galaxy F42 5G has reduced battery capacity going from the 6,000 mAh that the F41 had to the 5,000 mAh that the new model brings. The images also confirm the presence of a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. To know the rest of the characteristics and their price, we will have to wait until next Wednesday.
