Everything indicates that the remake will arrive in 2023.
Every day is closer to the moment in which, apparently and supposedly, we will have in stores from the hand of Naughty Dog the remake of the first The Last of Usthis being one of the most rumored titles in recent months and that it would be being developed by the studio that brought Joel and Ellie to life.
It should be noted that today the game has not been officially announcedbut the rumours, clues and leaks surrounding it added to the fact that PlayStation usually releases a game with its series and movies It makes us believe that we will actually see this new title possibly when the HBO Max series is going to be released. However, the latest information indicates otherwise.
The remake of The Last of Us could be released in 2022, before the premiere of the HBO Max series.
Given this, it must be said that new information has emerged in this regard, although, as always, we recommend you take it with tweezers because it is not about anything official, but rather about clues pointing in the same direction.
Under this premise, we have, for example, a report on ResetEra where the LinkedIn profile of Core Hong, a quality control tester at Naughty Dog, has been shared, who has indicated that he is performing quality control tests in a unannounced project of a new version.
Along with this, in PlayStation Studio Visual Arts, a team that supposedly started the development of the remake and that are now playing a supporting role with the title, job offers have been offered related to a new version of The Last of Us at the same time that studio workers talk about a large-scale project for this year.
Be that as it may, reports have also been found indicating that the development of the remake is very advanced being almost complete, so they talk about a launch of both this title and the multiplayer of The Last of Us for this year. In that sense, only time will tell if it is fulfilled, but, for now, it is more than likely that this supposed remake reaches PS4, PS5 and PC.
