The latest from Google is that now you can make calls and video calls from Gmail. Those of Mountain View are following their plans at a good pace to bring their different applications and services together within a framework of productivity.
Google has been interesting for a few months in terms of updates to its most used services. Just a few days ago we saw that YouTube was integrating new functions to improve interaction with the application and, in addition, make it easier for users to try new features that are still in the testing phase.
And, is that YouTube released a new menu within its app in which users were able to see functionalities that will come to the application in some time and be able to try them before anyone else. The only questionable thing about all this is that the option was only available to users with a premium subscription.
This time it was Gmail that debuted new features. Google’s email gesture has been revamped over the years and these renovations have always had as their primary goal to improve the overall user experience. Those in Mountain View are turning this service into a combination of services.
The last thing that has been seen is that now all users, regardless of whether they have a business account or not, will be able to make calls and video calls from the application. This new addition comes to close the plan that Google has to create a round communication platform combining its different services.
Calls made within the Gmail application will actually be made using Google Meet, what happens is that you will not have to leave the email manager to perform them. Google has everything so well tied that the mail app itself takes care of managing these calls automatically so that the experience is fluid.
All these improvements will also come with a new design in the Gmail application. In this new design, a new tab called spaces will appear and whose purpose is to facilitate communication between different users within the same company. There is no set date for the Gmail update, but on Google’s plans expected to be soon.
