For Mexicans and for various consumers around the world, Christmas can be a stressful time, especially when it comes to gifts.
When we talk about Christmas, in short, we talk about a date destined to generate important cats. This is revealed by a survey carried out by Picodiwhich indicates that, in Mexico, the average Mexican tends to spend up to 368 dollars, that is, about 7,250 Mexican pesos, during the season.
This survey also reveals that 56 percent of Mexican spending is spent on gifts for both family and friends, but what is the most common gift?
In this context, it is important to note a recent Kantar Worldpanel survey entitled “What will Christmas be like for Mexicans?”the same that, reveals the list of the most popular gifts for Mexican consumers in the holidays.
According to what you point out Kantar Worldpanelabout 68 percent of those interviewed said they would give away clothes or shoes at Christmas, while 52 percent said their income would go towards buying toys.
The most desired Christmas gifts by Mexicans
We are a few days away from Christmas Eve and, of course, Christmas, one of the favorite times for a large number of people.
These days, for many consumers, will be full of doubts, uncertainty and even stress from thinking about their gifts. Thus, to alleviate a bit of the Christmas shopping panic, it can be useful to know what the most desired gifts are this year.
According to the macro survey Global Consumer Survey Special: Christmas and Holiday Season From Statista, carried out on a significant group of Mexicans, 57 percent of those surveyed revealed that, as shown in the graph deposited above, clothing, textile products and footwear are the gifts they most expect to receive in this season.
It should be noted that 35 percent said they preferred the smartphones, tablets and accessories, while 34 percent chose cash or transfer as something they would be delighted to receive.
Another aspect to take into account is that this Christmas will be marked by inflation and, as we mentioned, a new wave of Covid-19 infections, which has generated all kinds of emotions in consumers, from stress and, perhaps anxiety, even great concern, without forgetting, of course, that hint of happiness that comes with the Christmas season.
In fact, a survey carried out by Ipsos indicates that half of those surveyed anticipate that the increase in prices will have a very significant impact on their seasonal purchasesin addition to the fact that 40 percent affirm the same for their celebrations.
