Perhaps some of you are already fans to the extreme of this saga of graphic novels, while others may not have heard this name in your life. Yes, we talk about Heartstopper, the most addictive literary phenomenon of the moment whose success is transferred to a Netflix series that aims to hit it (and a lot). Relax, if you are one of those who has no idea what this is about now you will have no excuse to stay out of any conversation about this.
First, what is it about Heartstopper? These novels created by Alice Oseman (which were born as a result of a webcomic) they talk about the love between two boys who go to the same boys’ high school. Charlie is an openly gay boy who falls in love with Nick. A relationship that seems impossible, but that becomes reality (even though Nick needs a process of self-discovery about it).
Although everything seems very easy, little by little conflicts and challenges arise that together they must overcome. The motto of this series of titles is: “Love is simple. Falling in love is complicated” so you can imagine that the road will have its complications. Yes indeed, There is no lack of a good dose of love, delicacy, affection, friendship and a long road to discovering one’s sexual identity.
The novel series are divided (for now) into four titles: Heartstopper 1. Two boys together (15.15 euros), Heartstopper 2. My favorite person (15.15 euros), Heartstopper 3. A step forward (15.15 euros) and Heartstopper 4. More than words (15.15 euros), which was published this summer. The fifth and final installment is scheduled for next 2022.

Such is the success of these books that Netflix has not been slow to close an agreement with the creators to give the green light to an adaptation of the series on the platform of streaming. This fiction will not bet on the animated form, it will be actors who will give life to Charlie, Nick and company. At the moment we know that the chosen director has been Euros Lyn, popular for Doctor who and Torchwood. Actor Kit Connor will be Nick and Joe Locke, Charlie.
For the moment we do not know the official release date of the series on Netflix, but we are clear that it promises to sneak into the most watched on the platform and be at the level of other fictions that we are freaked out by such as Young Highnesses. What we can do before is to devour the four books and be patient to enjoy the latest novel, which will put an end to one of the love stories that do not leave anyone indifferent.
