The Mexican financial services company powered by cryptocurrencies Bitso, through a statement, reported that in 2022 it managed more than 3.3 billion dollars between the United States and Mexico. This through its Cripto Para Empresas service, mainly among remittance companies and payment processors.
In addition, reported that this volume processed by the company, compared to the year 2021, is “three times higher”and that in addition, this new record achieved is thanks to the strategic alliance with partners such as Ripple, the company in business solutions for blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
Aaron Sears, General Director of the Americas at Ripple, highlighted the company’s commitment to use crypto and blockchain technology to resolve situations that may arise. He also stated that:
“Our collaboration with Bitso allows us to continue to offer unprecedented cross-border payments in Mexico, a key region for our clients. (…) and we look forward to continuing our alliance to bring cryptocurrency-powered cross-border payments to more businesses across Latin America,” he said in the statement.
For his part, Santiago Alvarado, Vice President of Product and B2B at Bitso, expressed his enthusiasm to see how more and more, crypto technology finds a space to “improve financial services” and the fact of the growth that the company had last year, thus reaching 73% in the number of institutions and companies that use Bitso as a financial service.
According to the statement issued by the exchange, international transfers that are operated through Bitso are mostly carried out with stablecoins or cryptocurrencies such as XRP. This is a digital asset that serves as a link between two currencies to facilitate cross-border transactions. Likewise, the alliance between both companies will allow the offer of transfers with the United States to be extended to more Latam countries.
