The official premiere date of the Lord of the Rings series came with a spectacular image of a fascinating place.
As we already know, on September 2, 2022, the series of The Lord of the rings in Amazon Video. But they have not revealed if all the episodes of the first season will arrive at the same time or if we will have to watch them week by week. But what is clear is that there is a lot of desire to enjoy the Middle Earth.
According to official information, the story will focus on the Second Age, that is, long before the events of the movies of The Lord of the rings (2001, 2002, 2003) and from The Hobbit (2012, 2013, 2014). They also offered a first image that we leave you below that is simply spectacular.
But … What is that place?
If we look closely, what stands out the most from the image of the series The Lord of the rings is that there is a white figure, probably an elven woman and in front of her there is an imposing city surrounded by mountains and by a river. In addition, in the distance you can see two trees that emit light, one of them is black and the other white.
To find out the city that we are seeing in the image, we must resort to the stories of JRR Tolkien and hope that the series of The Lord of the rings It is not a free adaptation and is very faithful to the original material.
The best clue we have is precisely the two trees in the background, one of which is actually gold and the other is silver. Therefore, the only place where these trees existed is Valinor, the continent where the Valar, who are the children of Ilúvatar and they shaped Middle Earth. The capital of that place is called ValmarOf this city we know that it had an architecture where white and gold stood out, it also had a green hill next to it and especially in front of its golden door were the two trees, so it is the safest choice. The only thing that fails me is the river, but hopefully it is an artistic license.
But the most curious thing is that those trees no longer existed in the Second Age, because Melkor ordered the great spider Ungoliant to destroy them. Which means that the series of The Lord of the rings It will have a prologue that will tell us the history of Middle Earth long before the action begins, through the Ages of the Trees and the First Age of the Sun, until the Second Age of the Sun, which is where they have set the plot.
