Almost a year ago, the existence of KOTOR Remake was announced, one of those games that any Star Wars fan could expect at some point, since it is one of the best valued titles by the community regarding the saga created by George Lucas.
Developer by Apyr Games, the game was planned to arrive sometime in 2023. However, as we have learned thanks to Jason Schreier, a journalist from Bloomberg, KOTOR remake has been delayed indefinitelyand the title has lost two project directors so far this month.

KOTOR Remake Has Been Delayed Indefinitely
According to Schreier’s information, the two directors of the title who left the development were the art director and the design director. Both notified the rest of the studio that the KOTOR remake has been delayed indefinitely, and that the company will seek new contracts and development opportunities, even though they were not authorized to share this information.
Microsoft would have rejected a deal for the remake of Star Wars KOTOR
As has been known, the KOTOR remake would have been in development for more than three years from the hand of Aspyr Media. Last June, the studio finished a playable demo to show Lucasfilm and Sony, and while the team’s feelings were good, they were surprised by the sudden layoffs that followed.
For now, there is no official information about the fact that the KOTOR remake has been delayed indefinitely, but everything seems to indicate that we will have to wait a long time to see the return of the Knights of the Old Republic. Especially if we take into account that the development team had an estimated release date set for 2025so it will be necessary to see how much longer we will have to continue waiting.
