Imagine running with the amazing landscape of the desert of sound, It doesn’t matter if you are an expert or a beginner, there are routes and distances for all levels. You can run from 10 to 75 kilometers.
The Great Desert Race is divided into two days
The races of 10 and 25 kilometers will be carried out in a single day. However, the 75km and 50km Ultra Trail are held over two days: Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd October.
Ultratrail 75K
The first day will start on Saturday October 22. Competitors must cover 50km, starting from the middle of the desert. They will face a demanding course on the first day of the race. They will depart from the central zone of the desert, until they reach the pristine beaches of the upper Gulf of California, where a spectacular starry night will await them.
The next day, on sunday 23 October, The competitors will go through a section of the desert again, an area of dunes where they will put their strength and endurance to the test. This adventure is a great challenge even for the most experienced ultra runners. To finish, they must reach the marsh area, where desert and sea converge, they interact to form an environment like no other.
Mega Desert Run 50K
The starting point will also be the middle of the desert. Each runner will face a spectacular 25 km route on the first day of the race, that is, on Saturday October 22. All must surround the Sierra Pinta by intricate paths between rocky mountains and open desert, up to the upper Gulf of California.
One day later, on Sunday October 23, The competitors will once again go through a section of the desert full of dunes that will test their capacity and condition.
Beach & Desert Run 25K
The Great Desert Race also opens the opportunity for less experienced runners who want to put their physical abilities to the test with the Beach & Desert Runwhich runs the same 25k route as the second day of the ultra-trailon Sunday, October 23.

Beach Fun Run 10K
Similarly, on Sunday, October 23, the opportunity to enjoy these magical environments with the Beach Fun Run, where experienced and inexperienced runners can run or walk along a specially designed route to have fun.
Camp of a million stars
After an exhausting day, the Ultra Trail competitors will be able to rest in the camping area. It will be located between the fishermen’s camp and San Jorge beachand in the La Pinta estuary.
