The basic objective of technology is none other than to facilitate our day-to-day tasks and that is what the new function that is coming to all users of Google Home and all compatible devices intends. It is about the possibility of schedule the start of routines.
Google Home routines are a method of automating actions. In this way, you can configure your own voice commands in the assistant and choose what you want it to do or say when you run them. Until now we have had the option of performing tasks with a single command, both manually and through programmed routines, so that Google Home takes precedence over something that we are normally going to do manually. Now, those routines can also be programmed.
From a minute to hours
An improvement that what it does is establish a schedule for that a command or a device does not start working as soon as the routine is executed. Imagine, for example, that a washing machine does not start until we leave the house so as not to disturb or that the lights go out 2 hours after you leave the house.
Now, the “Delayed start” of the routines allows you to set delay times that go from one minute as the shortest possible time to hours of delay. Simply change the time available on the card when you are programming the routine.
The arrival of “Delayed Start” in routines ** coincides with the launch of “Assistant Daylong Routines” v, a system that allows programming a series of routines (no matter the type) to be executed throughout the day.
To add a routine in the Wizard just open the Google Home app and look for an icon with the title “Routines” on which we are going to click to have access to all the options. There are routines for different times of the day, for when we get home, for when we leave home …
At that point we must click on “Start routines in”, where we must choose the device to which we are going to give the order and then choose the routines that we want to activate or create our own. Either in one way or another, we have a large number of options to activate the routine and customize it to our liking.
If you already have active you will find this function when editing a routine in the Assistant, in the path of the “Assistant Settings” and “Routines”, touching an existing routine or creating a new one), although it does not appear in all cases. If available You can see it under everything, under the category “Time settings”.
The “Delay Start” and “Assistant Daylong Routines” have started their deployment, so you may not see it reflected on your device yet.
