Cambridge Audio has announced the arrival in its catalog of a new stereo receiver-amplifier focused on users who are looking for a model to mount a high-mid-range high-fidelity sound set but do not have a high budget.
It is the AXR100D, a model from the manufacturer’s AX range that with a classic compact design with large volume control on the front and a small status display, inside it includes a DAB / FM radio tuner with 40 presets and an amplification stage capable of delivering 100 watts per channel on 8-ohm speakers.
With a frequency response between 5 Hz and 50 kHz, it is offered the option of feeding the second set of speakers to sound two rooms at the same time, as well as playing content directly from the mobile using Bluetooth 5.0 interface.
As for the wired connections, on the back we find three analog RCA inputs, one MM phono for turntables, another 3.5 mm auxiliary jack, two optical digital and another digital coaxial with capacity for signals up to 192 KHz as well as a 6.3mm headphone output on the front.
Price and availability
The new Cambridge Audio AXR100D receiver-amplifier will go on sale this June for a price of around 500 euros.
