Smart kitchens with interactive and Wi-Fi connected appliances are a reality in more and more homes. But in addition to household appliances, you can even get a 100% smart kitchen with furniture that also responds to voice.
This 100% intelligent kitchen concept has become a reality in the project carried out by the interior design studio of Sara Folch Interior Design and the kitchen company Nel’la Design on the occasion of the new edition of Design Week Marbella that takes place, and can be visited from September 27 to October 1.
A project they have called DOMA Because it is inspired by the domus, or the typical houses of the Roman Empire that were distributed around a `patio with a pond (in this case it would be the island).
A kitchen designed and thought to “make life easier for people” somo says interior designer Sara Folch after working for weeks on the proposal for Nel’la Design. The result is a kitchen that can be completely controlled with your voice. Being able to control your kitchen by voice while you cook and have your hands full “will allow many people to enjoy their home.” The KNX home automation standard, which includes Doma, allows space to be controlled by electronic devices but also by voice assistants.
It is possible to order “Lower the salt!” to the assistant in this kitchen and, automatically thanks to motorized furniture exclusively designed to have the salt shaker ready to use. The objective was, according to the interior designer “design a kitchen at our service”,
A clear example of this functionality is found in the design, because the kitchen is done adapted for people with reduced mobility. “Being able to hide the furniture by voice facilitates navigate space without using your hands to open and close drawers“explains Sara Folch.
