A little less than a month after the launch of Elden Ring, the game is now officially finished and Hidetaka Miyazaki has had time to give a more than interesting interview to the PlayStation blog where he talks about some of the aspects of the game, such as its difficulty. The difficulty of FromSoftware’s games has always been a hot debate, but beyond that, the creator of Dark Souls has talked about other issues that could have consequences in the future, such as possible collaborations with other creatives. Creatives that are not from the video game world, if possible, explains Miyazaki.
“The collaboration of George RR Martin is something that I didn’t even imagine it would be possible«, ensures Miyazaki when asked what other influential creative he would like to work with. Although it is a decision that cost them some criticism, such as that of the writer Brandon Sanderson. «I don’t think I’d pick a fellow gamer«, assures the Japanese.
“Honestly, one of the biggest draws of working with George RR Martin was how the medium he works in has such a different style. After all, games and books are very different forms of media. So if I had to choose, it would be someone who can provide the level of stimulation that is impossible for us as game developers explains Miyuazaki. «Could be someone who works on books, art, music or anything that gives that impetus and can push us forward as fellow creators but in a completely different genre. I think it would have to be that, it’s very difficult to pinpoint a specific person or studio!”
Elden Ring will receive a patch on launch day
At the moment it is not known what it will be Miyazaki’s next project after Elden Ring, but information and images of a new Armored Core from FromSoftware have already been leaked. What is not entirely clear is whether it is in charge of the creator of Dark Souls or belongs to another secondary team of the study.
