The new spin off series of The Boys, Diabolical, is now available on Amazon Prime Video and its ending is canon to the series. We tell you all the info here!
In a recent interview with the media Varietythe creator of TheBoys, Eric Kripkeconfirmed that the last episode of the new series spin-off The Boys Presents: DiabolicalIt is canon to the series. Which makes a lot of sense considering the themes this episode shows us.

Each chapter has a different animation style that adapts to the story they want to tell. “The ending is canon, yes”commented Kripke “I thought Simon Racioppa, the writer of the episode, did a great job. I don’t think we had specific plans for this episode to be canon. But he did such a good job of writing and directing, that when I saw it I thought “This is really what happened”“.
The showrunner continued and expressed “There is a certain amount of relationship building that will help us understand each other even better. Homelander and BlackNoirwhich allows us to understand a little more before season 3″. AND Racioppa confirmed that he wanted this episode to be as connected as possible with TheBoys.
“It is an episode with a bit of the history of Homelander, So I wanted to make sure it was as close to the show as possible.”commented Raccioppa. “He has a BlackNoir at. So we wanted to try to make it a typical American animation-influenced, action-influenced episode that felt like it was really connected to the mothership. This is the episode most connected to the mothership.”
Before the series came out, Kripke confirmed that some episodes were going to be canon and others were just going to be insane. For now, the only one confirmed as canon was One Plus One Equals Two. The series is made up of 8 episodes produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. And each episode was written by a different person, including names like Awkwafina, Andy Samberg, and Garth Ennis.
The third season of TheBoys It was finished recording in September 2021 and its fourth season has already been confirmed.
