MIUI is the customization layer of the phones of Xiaomi. Version 12 of the system caused several flaws and problems that users soon reported to the company. In fact, they have received a lot of criticism, since the operation of the device completely worsened.
To solve these problems arose MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition, an intermediate step before the new update. This was a movement that was only carried out due to the reproaches of the users and to fix the bugs that had caused the previous version. Since August it began to be launched in the various terminals of the Chinese brand and, now, has reached the cheapest Xiaomi.
The Redmi 9 are in luck
The company has started rolling out the new update to the Redmi 9 family. Among those are the versatile Redmi 9 and its companion Redmi 9 Note, although it is only available for those global variants of the device.
This Global ROM corresponds to the mobiles that we can find in Spain, so you can now update your smartphone. At the moment it is unknown when it will reach the regional versions of the phones. Anyway, if you don’t have it yet, don’t be alarmed, since the launch is taking place progressively. It is possible to think that the next to receive it will be those of series 8. More information will come to light soon.
Have you achieved your mission?
MIUI 12.5 was launched with the purpose of fixing problems generated by its predecessor. This served its purpose, however, users began to point out that new annoyances appeared on the devices.
There were so many bugs that Xiaomi itself created a specialized website where users could write the errors they have found. Errors that have not stopped increasing over time, so the brand decided to launch MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition so that all this disappears. Although it has not worked quite well either.
Between the user complaints regarding the MIUI 12.5 version were reports about screen blackouts when receiving notifications, continuous slowdowns when browsing the terminal, lack of internal space …
This seems to have been fixed, but the Enhanced Edition could have caused some flaws on certain devices. In the case of POCO F3, users claim to have suffered random reboots after updating their mobile. Even so, Xiaomi has not commented on the matter, so it is unknown if this case is something widespread globally.
