A bombshell is revealed: Tesla Motors she was going to own ChatGPT which ends up explaining a lot of things. In an unexpected turn of competition from large companies and magnates in the Artificial Intelligence sector Elon Musk ended up suing a few days ago OpenAI and its CEO Sam Altman for having altered the essence of the organization after the success of its platform ChatGPT.
Altman and Musk have a long history of friction where the millionaire has shown himself more than once critical, dissatisfied and negative about every move made by this institution of which he was a part in the past and with which he ended up apparently on unfriendly terms.
After Elon's lawsuit it was only a matter of time before OpenAI and its current board of directors will react. That moment has arrived with a juicy and explosive revelation:

ChatGPT At some point it was going to merge with Tesla Motors in a clear attempt to keep the project's most potential asset for the benefit of the other company it owned.
This revelation would bring a new nuance to this discussion that explains more clearly why Elon Musk has adopted this attitude against the organization that he once defended.
Tesla Motors was about to keep ChatGPT but Elon Musk couldn't do it
In a movement that shakes everything OpenAI has published a series of private emails from Elon Musk, co-founder of the Artificial Intelligence company, which reveal both his intentions and his position on the future of OpenAI.
The emails, distributed in an extensive blog postthey directly and practically inescapably contradict Musk's recent criticism of the organization and expose his past interest in signing OpenAI with ChatGPT within Tesla Motors.
The emails show that Musk wanted OpenAI to merge with Tesla or for him to have full control of the company in all its projects, including the chatbot we all know now.
According to OpenAI, this was incompatible with its mission of creating safe and beneficial Artificial Intelligence for humanity. So the company argues that Musk only sued OpenAI when it “began to make significant progress” toward his original goal but without him being more involved in the organization.
The most contrasting thing about all this new evidence is that contrary to his current criticisms, the emails indicate that Musk initially supported OpenAI's pivot to a for-profit model.
In a message dating back to 2016, he even responded “yes” to the proposal that the company become “less open” in the future.
Then later in January 2018, Musk suggested that Tesla become a “cash cow” for OpenAI.
Low the argument that Tesla was the only company with which OpenAI could compete against Google, although he acknowledged that the chances of success were small.
A month later, in February 2018, Musk decided to leave OpenAI and ultimately founded his own general intelligence competitor, xAI Corp.
According to OpenAI, Musk mentioned that the company had a 0% chance of becoming relevant without a major change in execution and resources.
Today we see that everything has been different, now that OpenAI has the monetary support of Microsoft.
Even so, the future of OpenAI remains uncertain, but the publication of these emails provides new insight into what Elon Musk is up to.
