According to a new product catalog released Wednesday, e-vehicle maker Tesla is launching a new cyber whistle inspired by its futuristic Cybertruck series. The firm wrote:
“Inspired by the Cybertruck, the Limited Edition Cyberwhistle is a premium collectible crafted from medical-grade stainless steel with a polished finish. The whistle includes a built-in snap-on feature for added versatility.”
All sales are final and products are expected to ship within four to six weeks. Also, Tesla requires buyers to pay only in Dogecoin (DOGE). The price at the time of publication is 1,000 DOGE or about $60 USD. Taxes and shipping are included in the DOGE price.
Tesla says that Dogecoin is the only cryptocurrency it currently accepts for select merchandise. Like other digital asset transactions, incorrect payment amounts or asset types sent to your address will not be reversed or refunded. Users need a Dogecoin wallet to pay for Tesla products.
“It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that Dogecoin is transferred accurately.”
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been a prominent proponent of the meme-currency, claiming last year that “Dogecoin is better than Bitcoin for payments.”Following the Tesla lawsuit, SpaceX also began accepting Dogecoin as payment for merchandise in May. The billionaire tech entrepreneur recently reiterated his support for DOGE after a $258 billion lawsuit alleging a cryptocurrency Ponzi scheme in relation to the token. “I will continue to support Dogecoin”said.
