The most popular series on Apple TV + once again makes its creators proud. After winning several accolades in the red carpet season earlier this year, this time Ted lasso has done the same at the Hollywood Critics Association TV Awards, becoming the most awarded series of the event.
The success of Apple TV +, based on the life of soccer coach Ted Lasso has garnered four major awards, including recognition as Best Broadcast Comedy Series. Currently, the second season of the show is available and is shaping up to be a new hit for the streaming platform.
‘Ted Lasso’ continues to sweep the awards
On this occasion, the award recognized three actors from the elect. Of course, Jason Sudeikis, in the role of Ted Lasso, has added a new recognition for his character. Also, Brett Goldstein who plays Roy Kent was recognized as Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and Hannah Waddingham, who plays Rebecca Welton, prevailed as Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series
In addition to Ted Laso, the Apple TV + series “Servant” got another win in the category Best Supporting Actor in a Streaming Series, Drama category, thanks to the character of Julian Pearce, played by Rupert Grint.
Although Apple TV + still offers a relatively limited amount of content compared to other streaming services, its shows have done well with critics and award judges. Several films and documentaries have become the most watched in certain periods, but without a doubt, “Ted Lasso” has been the great success and has been nominated for a total of 20 Emmy Awards this year.
