NASA has always advocated for this alternative. However, a company has wanted to contribute with a somewhat strident proposal. The company that has created this curious electric motorcycle, which is based in Dresden, Germany, wanted to share its project.
Let’s see, therefore, what are the qualities of this curious technology, why we are faced with a unique product in the industry and, of course, why it could be said that we must at least believe in the original concept. Tardigrade, a concept that has revolutionary and unique technology
The Tardigrade is a benchmark in the market when it comes to innovation. Of course, it has a whole series of materials that combine practicality, efficiency and, of course, lightness. In this sense, the presence of aluminum or Kevlar are essential. Thanks to this, it is possible to add an electric motorization in search of a target; be able to count on efficient mechanics on the lunar soil. Furthermore, this allows the use of only one motor. Any rover would have up to 4 different engines.
Regarding tires, 3D printing technology has been used. For this, as can be read in the specialized portal Electrek, up to a total of 12 modules have been used polyurethane tread, which have been secured to the motorcycle’s rims.
Hookie, the company in charge of the design, development and production of this prototype, has stated that it is not in talks with organizations such as NASA. Even so, we have wanted to work on this project with the aim of showing that there may be alternatives other than those formed by rovers conventional. After all, why not go for more innovative options?
A development of new means of transport for space
At present, the sending of space missions is gaining special interest from international organizations.
