Last week it premiered Thor: Love & Thunder in theaters, the most recent film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe directed by Taika Waititi. In a recent dynamic with Vanity Fair, the director and actress Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie) had fun mocking the cgi and the editing of the film, which has not seemed good to the fans.
Last week a VFX artist made a post on the VFX subreddit saying that he was sick of working for Marvel productions, as they are the company with the worst management when it comes to special effects. This isn’t the first time a VFX artist has made similar comments, so Taika Waititi’s taunts of his own film weren’t well received.

“I hope that the VFX artists who worked on Taika’s movie will see this video…” said a Twitter user, saying that one thing is for the audience to criticize the movies and another is for their director to do so, since they know that there are countless special effects artists working endless hours on your project.
Watching the director make fun of the work that he and his producers forced you to change 5 times before the due date with little pay is insane.”
In one of the Reddit posts made by the VFX artists complaining about the mismanagement of Marvel Studios, a user said that “in THOR they asked for a mini sequence 2 or 3 weeks before the delivery date, by that I mean models, textures , animations and lighting from scratch”. Although the user does not clarify if he is talking about Thor: Love & Thunder or one of the previous ones, he gives us an idea of what these artists have to deal with.
