Today, we have several game studios looking to get into the NFT space, and some like Konami and Ubisoft They already started doing it. Normally, this practice is frowned upon by consumers, thus becoming the “new microtransactions”. That is why Ghost Town Games, responsible for the acclaimed overcooked, have promised never to incorporate NFTs into any of their games.
Through a new image shared on their social networks, the developers of overcooked They assured the following:
“Here at Ghost Town Games we want to assure you that Overcooked (and all of our future games) will never use NFTs.
We do not support NFTs. We believe that they carry a heavy environmental and social weight.
We also want to ask you to be kind when sharing your thoughts with our friendly neighborhood Community Managers.”

So as you can see, Ghost Town Games He has no intention of getting into this NFT thing, so you can rest assured about the studio’s future projects. We’ll see if more companies begin to express this same opinion in the future.
Publisher’s note: I think there will come a point where the big developers will have to abandon the idea of NFTs altogether. We have already seen that, at least in gaming, this idea has not been very well received and it will be a matter of time before it is completely forgotten.
