On the other hand, recently Absolut Vodka stopped exports to Russia, due to the threats they received on social networkssince the company of Swedish origin decided to safeguard its employees after this type of attack, as mentioned by the company through a statement.
“We remain committed to intensifying the sanctions against Russia and coordination, as well as countering Russian and third-party attempts to circumvent and undermine our sanctions measures,” the statement read.
Besides Pernod Richar, the brand’s spokesman, reported that the complete suspension of exports of Absolut Vodkawould not affect the other brands of the group, which is in second place worldwide in the liquor market, according to company statistics.
“For clarity, unfortunately this will not prevent Absolut from falling into the hands of the ‘parallel market’, which has increased considerably in recent months and over which we have no control,” said Pernod Richar, a spokesman for the brand.
