Spain’s data protection agency has asked the European Union’s (EU) privacy watchdog to analyze the potential risks of ChatGPT, the OpenAI chatbot. The Spanish body said that the operation of this platform could have “a significant impact on people’s rights”.
The AEPD (Spanish Agency for Data Protection) has requested in a statement that the issue of ChatGPT be included in the next Plenary Session of the European Committee for Data Protection, reported Reuters. A meeting of this plenary is scheduled for next April 13. The representatives of the national data privacy control organizations will participate in this meeting. However, it is not yet confirmed that the Spain request for ChatGPT will be answered at this appointment.
