Movistar continues to complete its television with more content and access to third-party platforms. Until now, we can access Netflix, Disney+, DAZN, Prime Video, ATRESplayer Premium, mitele or LaLiga Sports on Movistar Plus+. Now, the blues reinforce their service with TCM Now, the new video on demand service of TCM. That will allow its customers to access, free of charge, thousands of movies. We give you all the details below.
It is not the first agreement of this type announced by Movistar. In fact, at the beginning of 2019 we learned that AXN NOW arrived at Movistar Plus +. This service includes a minimum of 700 episodes of series available at any given time, at least 4 complete series available annually, series exclusively on the service, special actions such as previews of series in original version or a minimum of 23 movie titles per month.
The arrival of TCM Now is free
Now it is the turn of TCM Now. From the March 23, 2022, this new video on demand service will be accessible by Movistar Plus+ customers. The service includes exclusive productions and will also double the titles available on Movistar. And when asked how much it will cost the customer, the answer is that it will be free, that is, at no additional cost to your customers.
Customers will be able to find a large part of the film titles through various content catalogues. If you have the TCM channel in your offer, you will also find all the content of TCM’s own production available. On the occasion of the launch, the documentary will premiere on March 23 ‘Michael Haneke, a filmmaker of our time’ (2022). This will come along with his films such as ‘Love’, ‘The Pianist’, ‘Unknown Code’, ‘The White Ribbon’ or ‘Happy End’.
Returning to the TCM Now service, Movistar confirms that we will have available great classics from ‘Singing in the rain’, ‘Cinema Paradiso’, ‘King Kong’, ‘2001: a space odyssey’ or ‘Citizen Kane’ through ‘Bad streets’, ‘Fort Apache’, ‘The heifer’ or ‘ The Day of the Beast’, to more contemporary films like ‘Spotlight’, ‘Moonlight’, ‘Twelve Years a Slave’ or ‘The Florida Project’.
We will also have original TCM productions or ‘TCM Interviews’ to figures such as Antonio Banderas, Enrique Urbizu, Fernando Trueba, Elvira Lindo or Leticia Dolera. The TCM Now catalog will be updated every month with new productions and movie titles. All this will be from March 23, which is when the service is launched within Movistar Plus +.
