PWAs have their defenders and their detractors. There are people who consider that a PWA distorts the experience compared to a native application. Others consider that they are the panacea, the present and the future of the applications. The reality is that it is a good alternative that improves over time. In this case we have to talk about Instagram and its Windows 10 and Windows 11 app that will soon allow uploading of publications.
Instagram finalizes the publication of content from the Windows app
As usual this has been discovered by Alessandro paluzzi, an expert in finding news in apps that have not yet been announced. In this case we are talking about the Instagram app that we can download from the Microsoft Store in Windows 10 or Windows 11. The truth is that it was more of an Instagram viewer than anything else, but it allows us more and more.
#Instagram is working on bringing support for post creation to the PWA for #Windows as well 👀 https://t.co/tfRsOz4NFr

Now, after having offered this feature on the web it seems that are ready to bring this functionality to the Windows app. This will allow Windows 10 or Windows 11 users to upload their posts easily and reduce dependency on the smartphone. This can be very useful for those who have to manage many accounts or simply for the convenience of working with a keyboard.
With this, it would allow the Instagram app to be at almost the same level as smartphone applications. This has been available on the web since May and it shouldn’t be long until it hits the Windows app.
