The multi-device mode of WhatsApp finally begins to reach more users, which has been testing for some time in the beta version of its applications, already is offered for users of the stable version of WhatsApp for iOS.
The great advantage of this mode is that it allows us to use WhatsApp on multiple devices independently, without having to keep the mobile connected to the network or turned on all the time. All you have to do is authorize the other device once, either in WhatsApp for Windows, macOS, or the web.
How to activate multi-device mode in WhatsApp
At the moment the option is only available on iOS, but it should also reach Android devices soon. Although the beta version of WhatsApp is not necessary for this, if it is necessary to join the beta of the multi-device support, it is not yet considered a stable function.
Just open WhatsApp on your iPhone and select Setting. Once there, you should see a pop-up message offering to try the new enhancements. joining the beta version of various devices
This will not change your device to the WhatsApp beta, only to the multi-device beta so you can use WhatsApp on up to 4 additional devices at the same time without keeping your phone connected.
Once you tap ‘ok’ and agree to participate, you can start linking devices. For it you just need to start the desktop WhatsApp application of your choice, either macOS, Windows or from the web browser so that a QR code is shown to you on the screen.
From the mobile app tap on Pair a device and with the camera that will open, scan the code on your computer screen to link the devices. WhatsApp will connect and encrypt your messages and you can use the app as usual.
The difference is that now it is not necessary for your mobile to be on all the time, and the session will remain open unless you close it yourself manually from the list of connected devices on the mobile.
