It is no surprise that the strong arm of Spotify about your competitors are your playlists. This service is not only flooded with playlists curated by the company’s experts, but by the millions of users who create lists and share them with the rest of the subscribers.
But creating a playlist is not always an easy task, at least not at the level of what Spotify editors often achieve, for that reason the company announced today a new function called “Boost”, which will give your playlists a new touch. with personalized recommendations.
This function will only be available for premium users, and can be applied to all the original playlists of each user, that is, those of your own.
How does “Empower” work?
The button to boost a playlist will appear at the top of the screen, just above the song list. Once Spotify is activated it will recommend a song for every 2 tracks you have on your list.
If you like Spotify’s recommendation, you can press the + icon to permanently add that song to your playlist.
The company says it will have a maximum of 30 recommendations per playlist. Likewise, the “Boost” button can be activated and deactivated as many times as you want.
Spotify recommendations are made based on the songs that make up your playlist.
When and where will the “Boost” option be available?
The button will arrive on Android and iOS in the coming months. In Latin America it will only be available in Mexico and Brazil, but it will reach more than 40 countries in the rest of the world.
