Activision has a team of studios in charge of the saga Call of Dutyone of these studies is Treyarch developer of Call of Duty: Cold War and the legendary Zombies game mode. On the other hand there is Infinity Ward, they are the ones working on the next Modern Warfare 2 that will arrive this 2022, and finally we have Sledgehammer Games, developer of Call of Duty: Vanguard which is currently the most recent title.
Starting from this, Tom Henderson posted on Twitter that apparently Sledgehammer Games is already working on a new Call of Dutyadding a length of your statement.
The future of Call of Duty and annual releases is uncertain, but Activision has seemingly covered all of its bases no matter what happens.@XputerE EXCLUSIVE:https://t.co/VzHct5Ks1C

Sledgehammer Games is already working on a new Call of Duty
Henderson talks a bit about how the development cycles are run for each game title. Call Of Dutymaking it clear that the next release of Sledgehammer Games should be in 2025. Although it is not known exactly what could happen to the saga after the purchase of Activision by Microsoft.
However, he highlights that this study had already planned a sequel for Vanguard because they would like to tell more stories with the characters they created. Unfortunately, its title did not meet all of Activision’s expectations, which could force them to change their World War II theme, perhaps for something a little more modern. Henderson also mentions that Sledgehammer Games is expanding rather than losing workers, something he says, would confirm that this study is in pre-production of its next title.
