Just take a quick look at the spy photos that illustrate this article to discover that we are facing a “facelift”. On the outside of the test vehicle, camouflage only makes an appearance on the front and rear. Something logical if we take into account that it will be in these parts where the aesthetic modifications will be concentrated. Especially in the front.
On the front, despite the camouflage, a redesigned bumper. The grill will also be modified. The optical groups, with the exception of the LED lights intended for daytime driving, are covered. We will have to wait to find out, although everything indicates that they will also be subject to changes. The novelties at the rear will focus on renewed taillights and a slightly revised bumper.
Skoda will take advantage of the release of this update to add new customization options to the Kamiq range. More specifically new body colors and wheel designs. And although we do not have the opportunity to look inside, we must prepare for a more digital and connected cabin. The multimedia system will be updated and the technological equipment expanded.
The engines of the new Skoda Kamiq 2023
Regarding the mechanical section there will be no big surprises. As has happened with his “older brothers”, the new Kamiq will maintain the same composition of the offer. That is, it will continue to be available along with a selection of gasoline engines and bifuel version to be able to use CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) as fuel. Skoda will adjust certain mechanics to improve efficiency and reduce emissions. All engines will be front-wheel drive.
When will it hit the market? The Czech manufacturer has launched all its machinery to complete the update of the Kamiq as soon as possible. If everything goes according to plan, the renewed model will be ready to storm the market in the second half of next year.
