Elden Ring It’s been out for a couple of weeks and in that time players have been exploring the huge open world that FromSoftware designed, which is full of secrets and dangers, with epic battles at every turn. If you want to do more damage in Elden Ring you not only need to level up, you also need to upgrade your weapon and some need shadow stones, so here I will tell you where to find some shadow smithing stones [6], [7], [8] and [9].
Don’t expect spoilers from the story of Elden Ring but from its locations, since the locations of the stones that I am going to mention are not found in the initial areas of the game and it is necessary to defeat a certain boss before accessing the corresponding area. Without further ado, here are some examples of where to find shadow smithing stones [6], [7], [8] and [9].

On Elden Ring weapons can call for normal smithing stones to upgrade them or shadow smithing stones, so if your weapon of choice calls for normal stones you don’t need to worry about shadow ones. However, if you need shadow stones to be able to level up your weapon, it is possible that it happens to you like me and you spend dozens of hours going through tunnels and dungeons looking for the necessary ones, but in vain. In the first areas of the Elden Ring I was able to find even shadowy smithing stones [5]but I couldn’t find the next ones until I got to a certain place.
The first time I met a shadow smithing stone [6] it was in Leyndell, the capital of the kingdom, which you reach by heading as far north as possible on the map. It is possible that you will find the capital but you will find the door closed, since the way to access it is through the walls in the northern part of the map (as far north as possible until you find an abyss). To defeat the capital you need to defeat a boss on horseback, so it’s best to learn how to fight mounted on a torrent before attempting it. Once defeated you can enter the capital, where there are two shadowy smithy stones [6] hidden.

If you want to access an area where you can find shadow smithing stones [7], [8] and [9] it is necessary to defeat the boss of Leyndell: Morgott, the King of Omens, the true identity of Margrit, the Fallen Omen. Once you defeat Morgott go to the east area of Leyndell, where you will find an elevator that takes you to a path to the sacred tower where you can activate Morgott’s major rune and a new area: The Forbidden Lands.
Once you reach the Forbidden Lands you will have to go to Rold’s big elevator, and you can find a shadow smithing stone [7] Halfway. If you can’t find this stone quickly, don’t worry, because the shadowy smithing stones [7] they are the most abundant in this region and later you will find more.
What’s more: Elden Ring is the sixth game with the most concurrent players in Steam history.
Rold’s elevator takes you to another new area, the giants mountainsand you can find a shadow stone [8] slightly north of the ruins of Zamor, past the bridge where a golem attacks you with its colossal bow. Defeat the golem so you can explore without worry and look for a shiny beetle, a little south of the site of grace in Ancient Snowy Valley. Defeat this beetle and the shadow smithing stone [8] it will be yours
to get one shadow smithing stone [9] You have to keep going, to some areas connected by bridges, between which there is a minor earthtree and a cemetery. You can find the blacksmithing shadow stone [9] On the bridge south of the Stargazer Ruins, above the Grace Site in the Ancient Snowy Valley.
In the Giant Mountains it is possible to find more shadow smithing stones [7] in the following places: At the entrance of the sun castle there are two beasts that give you a shadowy smithing stone [7] each, but be careful as one of the beasts is usually slightly hidden and can attack you by surprise while fighting the first. There is another shadowy smithy stone [7] a bit east of the first church of Márida, on a corpse. Finally, southwest of the site of grace on the post of the tomb of the giants you will find large spider hands that give you blacksmith shadowstone [7] the first time you defeat them, which guarantees you at least five such stones.
At the moment these are the only ones shadow smithing stones [6], [7], [8] and [9] that I have found and that all players can obtain by following the natural progress of the game, since it is necessary to go through the aforementioned places if you want to complete the Elden Ring story. However, this isn’t the only way to obtain shadow smithing stones, as getting the Bell Bearings it is possible to buy them at the round table.
