Secret Wars
One of the watersheds in Marvel history was Secret Wars, originally conceived as a series to promote a line of toys, but its consequences were profound for the Marvel Universe.
A new lineup in the Fantastic Four and Spider-Man’s alien suit are just a few of the sequels to Jim Shooter’s plot, which made 1984 one of the pivotal years in Marvel history.
Fear Itself
When an ancient evil takes over the planet, every hero in the Universe must make a sacrifice to save the planet from The Serpent, an ancient Asgardian threat.
The Serpent recruited heroes like the Hulk and The Thing, to villains like Titania, Atumma, Gray Gargole and Absorbing Man, in a plot that will leave Earth in ruins.
Secret Invasion
Brian Michael Bendis took it upon himself to unmask a multi-year hoax within the Marvel Universe. The heroes of the Marvel Universe discovered that the Skrulls had begun to replace the heroes and infiltrated Earth through not only the government but the Avengers as well.
Through careful planning and surprise, the invading aliens almost succeeded in taking over the world permanently. Now Earth’s Mightiest Heroes have to band together to battle an armada of Skrull ships carrying an army of super-charged alien warriors.
Avengers vs. X-Men
The world-destroying Phoenix Force is back, and while the Avengers intend to stop it, Cyclops and his X-Men have other plans. For Captain America, Phoenix threatens extinction. For Cyclops, it could mean salvation.
Marvel’s two greatest leaders go to war with the host Phoenix chose, Hope Summers, caught in the middle of it all. How far are both sides willing to go?
House of M
One of the jewels of the authorship of Brian Michael Bendis could not be missing from this list. The Avengers and the X-Men have been summoned to decide the ultimate fate of the Scarlet Witch, whose reality-altering mutant powers threaten the original fabric of the Marvel Universe.
As the heroes argue for the life of their former teammate, a wave of white light engulfs them all. In an instant, the entire Marvel Universe is changed forever!
world war hulk
Iron Man, Reed Richards, Doctor Strange, Namor, Charles Xavier, and Black Bolt were all friends of the Hulk and betrayed him by exiling him to Sakaar. The Jade Colossus has fought, bled and conquered. He has loved and lost.
With only terrible revenge left, the Hulk heads for Earth. He is joined by his loyal allies, the Warbound, to unleash his fury on the Illuminati, whom he will crush along with anyone who stands in his way.
The Dark Phoenix Saga
Chris Claremont and John Byrne built a story in which one of the original members of the X-Men ceased to exist.
Like Marvel Girl and Phoenix, Jean Gray has always led her life with heroism and sacrifice… but now she begins to discover a dark force within her that drives her to explore her most perverse and twisted passions and needs.
infinity gauntlet
Thanos has become an extremely powerful being by wiping out half of the Universe. The gods are in his clutches, Mephisto is his lackey, but the object of the Mad Titan’s desire is Death, who resists his actions.
The cosmic forces of the universe – Space and Time, Love and Hate, Order and Chaos – rise up against Thanos, but with the universe cut in half, the Mad Titan may yet prove victorious. Jim Starlin’s story inspired the most ambitious film project in history.
Civil War
In one of the key events in the history of the House of Ideas, the Marvel Universe is changing. The Capitol proposed a Superhuman Registration Act, which requires all costumed heroes to remove their masks to the government.
Divided, the best defenders of the nation must personally decide which side will be, in a story whose consequences are lived to this day in La Casa de las Ideas.
Maximum Carnage
Carnage has returned and teamed up with an army of Spider-Man’s mentally unstable foes to spread his gospel of hostility, mayhem and carnage: Carrion, Demogoblin, Shriek and Spider-Man’s Doppelgänger.
