Servant was one of the first series to be available on Apple TV +, and the first episode of season two officially aired last week. According to a report from Deadline, the second season of Servant saw more than double the audiences compared to the previous one.
Servant Season 2: the best start on Apple TV +
During the first week of Season 2 of Servant, the series saw a significant increase in viewership. The first season of Servant performed well in the United States and other countries like France, Mexico and Spain – and the original episodes were also boosted by the arrival of the second season.
To make the comparison even more advantageous, Apple TV + had released three episodes at the launch of season 1 in November 2019 against only one last week; Which means that the viewing of the Season 2 first season episode in its first week more than doubled that of the combined Season 1 first three episodes during the post-launch week.
Unfortunately, Apple does not reveal its streaming service figures and ranking data, but the report claims that Servant performed similarly to top shows like Defending Jacob and Ted Lasso, which are the most popular original shows from Apple.
Servant, which is directed by M. Night Shyamalan, has a cast consisting of Lauren Ambrose, Toby Kebbell, Nell Tiger Free and Rupert Grint. The series kicked off in 2019 with 10 intriguing episodes that tell the story of Leanne, a nanny who was hired by Dorothy and Sean Turner to look after a baby who is actually a doll. The parents had just lost their “real” child a short time ago.
The second episode of the second season of Servant has been available since this morning, and the series has already been renewed for its third season on Apple TV +.
