For a few years the Best Torrezno in the World contest has been held annually, in which the establishments that offer the best elaborations of this product compete, whose crunchy crust and interior of tender and juicy meat have made it one of the main gastronomic proposals ambassadors of the Soria province and of all Castilla y León.
And now, the winners and finalists of this contest have gathered in The Route of the Best Torrezno in the World, a route in which they appear from the Casa Augusto Restaurant or the Piscis Bar – current national champion of the contest – in the capital of Soria, the Tabú gastropub in Ólvega, at the foot of the Moncayo, or the Condado de Motores, in San Pedro Manrique, which has been one of the winners in previous years, El Burgo de Osma, San Leonardo de Yagüe, Navaleno or Almazán to other establishments outside the province such as the Mesón Castellano in Barcelona, the Bochinche Bar in Burgos, the Soria Fusión Restaurant at the Soriano Center in Zaragoza or the Alba Restaurant in Getafe, in Madrid.

For a good preparation of torrezno, not only the good quality of the bacon piece and its aeration count, but also a whole ritual to cook it in a perfect and healthy way.
