Next week Focus Entertainment will hold an event dedicated exclusively to A Plague Tale: Requiem that will leave us with a new video of this sequel along with the day it will go on sale. Until then, the IGN portal has had the opportunity to play this continuation exclusively.
This has allowed him to publish an extensive gameplay of almost eight minutes that has allowed us to see what the game will look like in greater depth and in the process learn more details of the exciting adventure that will await Amicia and Hugo, which from everything seen so far promises to be superior to A Plague Tale: Innocence in everything.
The plot will take place six months after the latest events while our couple of protagonists will have to face new adversities. All this will leave us with many more moments of exploration, more combat, more stealth sequences, more puzzles to solve and larger and more varied scenarios compared to the original title.
Amicia will have new ways to kill enemies, such as the crossbow, which you can equip with different types of arrows with their corresponding effects. Among them, the stones and the potions that can be made, there will be more than 20 different combinations that can be quickly created in a very intuitive tool wheel.
Among the new skills that our couple of protagonists will have at their disposal will be to detect the enemies that are more or less close, even if they are located behind a wall, to know their exact position. In addition, Hugo will be able to control the horde of rats so that they devour the soldiers in just a few seconds.
In fact, in the video itself it is admitted that in the previous A Plague Tale there could be about 5,000 rats on the screen at the same time, but in this second part the number has increased to 300,000 rats. Of course, you will have to be very careful when they appear, but for example, Amicia will be more resistant against the attacks of the soldiers and this time she will be able to withstand several hits.
In short, the gameplay leaves us with even more desire for next week to discover when we can get hold of A Plague Tale: Requiem on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PC and also through Xbox Game Pass from day one.
