In 2022, the Oscars broadcast on ABC in the United States and on TNT in Latin America had three female hosts: Amy Schumer, Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes.
Although all the conversation on social networks then focused on Will Smith’s slap to Chris Rock for the joke about the actor’s wife, another episode took place before that gave a lot to talk about.
It was when Josh Brolin and Jason Momoa took the stage at the Oscars to present the winners of one of the technical categories.
When both actors were on stage, Regina Hall approached and, to the surprise of Jason Momoa and Josh Brolin, told them that she had to “take a quick test for covid-19”.
“It’s to make sure they’re okay,” said the actress as she patted Brolin to the laughter of the audience.
Seconds later, Regina Hall continued to do the same thing, this time with Jason Momoa.
Reaction in the networks to the groping of Regina Hall to Jason Momoa and Josh Brolin
In social networks, the fact did not go unnoticed: many Twitter users pointed out that the Hall thing was a joke in bad taste and even warned that if Hall were a man and the actors were women, it would be scandalous.
A Regina Hall le escribió los gags Benny Hill.

“Women says that Regina Hall’s groping of Brolin and Mamoa has been funny… It’s not funny, it was uncomfortable and those kinds of messages shouldn’t be sent. Not because they are men they are forced to endure these ‘jokes’ because if it were the other way around, the Oscars would end, “wrote one user.
Another netizen exposed: “Serious question. This Regina Hall joke, which I really liked, would you find it funny if she did it with a male presenter with female actresses? Therefore: do we allow it because it is humor in both cases or in neither?

“Do you have any idea what would happen if a man groped a woman like Hall just did with Jason Momoa?” another user of Jack Dorsey’s social network tweeted.
With the opinions on Twitter, the debate was opened, once again, regarding what is considered “humorous” in today’s reality.

Obviously, the parameters are very different and the Oscar awards ceremony exposes the issue.
