The arrival of the realme GT was a real revolution taking the witness of those mythical Flagship killers from OnePlus or Xiaomi incorporating high-end hardware at a mid-range price.
Realme has decided to repeat the formula to dominate with an iron fist in the mid-range presenting the realme GT Master Edition Y GT Explorer Edition, two mobiles with hardware that is one notch below the realme GT –which we analyze here–, but with a demolition price.
Only the realme GT Master Edition will arrive in Spain, while the GT Explorer Edition is reserved for the Asian market.
We have been able to test them before their official presentation and here you have the analysis of the GT Explorer Edition, and the unboxing of the GT Master Edition.

New processor under the hood and Super DART fast charging
As he realme GT Explorer as the GT Master Edition just introduced they integrate a mid-range hardware, but present some differences in their choice.
One of the great novelties is the incorporation of first Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G processor to reach the market. Specifically, it does so on board the GT Master Edition that will arrive in our country, while the GT Explorer bets on a Snapdragon 870.
The new chip is in the upper mid-range and has been manufactured in a 6 nm lithography offering up to 40% more power thanks to the Kryo 670 cores, while the Adreno 642L GPU raises graphics performance by up to 40% over the previous generation Qualcomm 700 series.
The new processor promises improvements in photographic processing and in 5G connectivity, and joins the support for WiFi 6 networks Y Bluetooth 5.2 that already offered the Snapdragon 870 of the GT Explorer. Also, I really add an NFC chip, so both models are very well equipped for connectivity.
The hardware is completed with two versions with 128 and 256 GB of internal storage for both models, but we found some differences in the configuration of the RAM memory.
The GT Explorer will have two versions with 8 and 12 GB of RAM memory, while the GT Master Edition will arrive with 6 and 8 GB of RAM accompanied by Advanced DRE (Dynamic RAM Expansion) technology.
This technology allows between 3 and 5 GB of storage memory to be allocated as virtual RAM if necessary to maintain fluidity when running applications.
We also found some differences in battery capacity. The GT Explorer integrates a 4,500 mAh battery, while the GT Master Edition opts for a 4,300 mAh battery. They both use 65W Super DART fast charging which promises to recover the charge in about 30 minutes.
Few news when it comes to the screen. Realme has opted to repeat the experience of the realme GT with a Super AMOLED panel, a 120 Hz refresh rate and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.
What they have not agreed on is the size of these screens or their shape since the GT Explorer bets on a 6.55-inch diagonal with curved edges, while the GT Master Edition does it for one of 6.43 inch totally flat.
The mid-range puts the batteries in photography
We saw it with the OnePlus Nord 2, and the arrival of the new phones in the realme GT range only confirms the brand’s commitment to improve the photographic quality of the mid-range.
In the case of the GT Explorer that will not arrive in Spain, realme has mounted a stabilized IMX766 sensor with 50 megapixels as the main camera and complements it with a 16 megapixel ultra wide angle and a 2 megapixel Macro lens.
The GT Master Edition opts for a configuration closer to the realme GT, with a s64 megapixel main sensor with aperture f / 1.8, a 8 megapixel ultra wide angle with an aperture f / 2.3 and a visual of 119 ° and a sensor 2 megapixel macro f / 2.4.
The selfie camera does improve by providing a 32 megapixel Sony IMX615 sensor inserted into the screen.
According to realme, the most significant improvement will be found in the processing provided by the Snapdragon 778G. For now, the realme GT Master Edition comes loaded with a good catalog of filters and custom shooting modes.
Versions, price and availability in Spain
The realme GT already surprised by its aggressive yellow finish style Kill bill, so the new batch of mobiles in the GT range had to live up to expectations.
In this case, the star finish is much more discreet. Both the GT Explorer and the GT Master Edition that will arrive in Spain will do so in three finishes: Voyager Gray, Luna White, Daybreak Blue.
Naoto Fukasawa has designed the back of the Voyager Gray finish inspired by the texture of a suitcase and has covered it with neutral gray vegan leather that will contribute to keep the mobile clean and free of fingerprints for longer.
The realme GT Master Edition, will be available in Spain from August 23 with a special launch price exclusively on AliExpress, and later it will be available in the usual online stores and physical outlets of realme with the following prices:
The realme GT Master Edition in its version of 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage will arrive in Spain with a price of 349 euros. Until August 27 by 299 euros exclusively on AliExpress.
The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version of the realme GT Master Edition will arrive with a official price of 399 euros. With the exclusive launch offer, until August 27 it will be on sale for 379 euros.
In addition, during the first days, AliExpress will offer additional discount coupons of 43 euros in the final price to the first three thousand people who buy a realme GT Master Edition, so it is possible to buy it for 256 euros or 336 euros depending on the version.
As we have already mentioned, in principle the realme GT Explorer will not reach the Spanish market, but it will have a price of $ 499 for the 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage version, and from 549 dollars for the version of 12 GB and 256 GB of memory.
