WhatsApp is the messaging app with the most users, with two billion accounts in the world.
Meta’s platform already delivers one hundred billion messages a day.
There are only 25 countries in the world where WhatsApp is not the most used messaging app.
The user experience is always the most outstanding feature in social networks. This is demonstrated by WhatsApp, which brings new tools and functions to its system, such as reactions with emojis for the “Communities” and “Channels” sections.
The leading instant messaging platform continues to announce changes to its system, which will benefit two billion users and monthly users that it registers according to its report for 2023.
With that, the app continues to support the communication of people around the world. It is worth mentioning that an instant messaging platform is a place to communicate from any device like mobile phone, laptop and tablet.
Given this, there is a large ecosystem of platforms that provide these communication features, such as Line, Telegram, Messenger, Facebook Messenger, among others.
Reactions with emojis for “communities” and “channels”
This week the Meta platform announced several changes to its system and now reveals the functions that can be performed in its “Communities” and “Channels” formats.
In this new announcement for the millions of users, the instant messaging application highlighted how this new function will allow reactions similar to those that already exist in the platform’s personal chats and social networks such as Instagram and Facebook, but this time to express their impressions of the publications made by the administrators of the new sections: Communities and Channels.
As well, this function will expand the capacity of users in contexts in which, for example, they are unable to send text messages in some of the two sections.
The platform mentions that with emojis and reactions you could express your opinion about the information that is shared with them and the creators will be able to receive feedback on what they spread.
They explain that just as it is done with the reactions of personal chats, all existing emojis within WhatsApp are eligible to be used as reactions to messages and advertisements. So all users have to do is long-press on the message they want to react to and an emoji selection bar for the reaction will automatically open.
This feature is already in the rollout phase, so some users may not have access to it.
Likewise, the Meta platform explained that the reactions will not only be found in the Communities, since WhatsApp is already in the process of developing a similar function for the Channels, although this version will have a variation that will make it different from the others available in personal chats and Communities.
And this is how social networks are constantly updated, a recent example is Twitter, which shared what its new format called articles will be like. With this new tool, users will have the possibility of publishing much longer and more complex texts, even as long as a book.
The update was reported by Elon Musk and reported by the Taiwanese journalist, who found the option in a test version.
And this is how updates in the digital world are essential for the proper functioning of it and the experience they provide to its users.
