This victory in United States Grand Prix marked Verstappen’s third consecutive victory at the Circuit of the Americas, also ensuring victory in Saturday’s sprint. McLaren’s Lando Norris finished third, while Alonso’s compatriot Carlos Sainz was fourth, 15 seconds behind Verstappen. For his part, the Mexican Checo Pérez finished in fifth place18 seconds behind the leader.
However, in the American night, the FIA announced that both Hamilton and Charles Leclerc did not comply with the regulations governing the wooden plank located on the floor of the vehicle, which resulted in his disqualification from the race. As a result, Sainz “promoted” to the podium and Pérez repositioned himself in fourth place.
