If you have been up to date with the latest ActivisionBlizzard In recent months you will know that QA workers at Raven Software (a studio that supports the battle royale Call of Duty Warzone) have been trying to unionize in order to improve their working conditions. From Activision Blizzard they have been putting obstacles to the process, but now we have known that the Raven Software workers are close to getting their unionas recently reported by the Axios portal (via Eurogamer), offering details about the status of the negotiation and the steps that remain to be taken.
According to this source, Raven Software’s QA employees have already obtained approval from the National Labor Relations Board to move forward with their unionization process. This is an important milestone, as Activision Blizzard has previously refused to give voluntary approval to this key aspect of syndication. Now, all the Raven workers need is to get a majority in an internal vote of the study, which will legally oblige Activision Blizzard to recognize the terms and conditions of its workers.
Activision does not recognize Raven Software workers’ union
The Raven QA employee situation with Activision Blizzard has become one of maximum tension. And it is that the parent company made the decision earlier this month to convert all part-time testers into full-time workers, with better working conditions. A movement from which were left out Raven Software’s unionized employees, for obvious reasons. Now these people are close to achieving what Activision Blizzard has consistently denied them for the past several months.
