From Qualcomm, they do not plan to give the mobile industry a break and when we start to see the first models with the company’s latest processor, the Snapdragon 765G, are already announcing a processor that further improves performance: Snapdragon 768G 5G.
The processor manufacturer has wanted to clearly convey what is the best asset of this latest update of its processors: an improvement in CPU and GPU performance that exceeds 15%, a remarkable increase. Since adding integrated 5G modems to the catalog in December, a new update was expected, although perhaps not so soon.
The Snapdragon 765G appeared in December brought as the main novelty the implementation of a Qualcomm Adreno 620 GPU that optimized performance compared to the previous model. Here we find an improved version of the latter but without too many additional novelties.
As they advance in The Verge, in Qualcomm they affirm that they have managed to improve the performance of the previous GPU by more than 15% compared to the data obtained with the 765G. CPU clock speed has increased to 2.8 GHz, from 2.4 GHz in the previous model. This improvement is expected to help empower gaming mobiles, which continue to face new challenges.
But, in general, in addition to that increase, they have not announced other aspects in which an improvement is made compared to the previous model. Although it is not the only novelty, the company will also present the Snapdragon X52 modem (with support for mmWave and 5G sub-6GHz), of which all the details will soon be known.
As for the 768G processor, the mobile in which it will debut is already known: Xiaomi Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition. It is unknown when this model that will have a clear gaming profile will be launched, but we can hope that it will surely offer superior benefits to those of the competition.
