This application, called FIFA Player, will collect objective player tracking data for an optical system installed in each stadium, with contributions from FIFPro, the world footballers union.
It will manage metrics of speed, distance, acceleration and positional heat maps of each soccer player that enters into action in the tournament.

It will also work with enhanced event data, where FIFA performance analysts provide details on passing, pressure and the like, along with intelligence metrics with machine learning algorithms, in order to calculate advanced information about the game.
The Sport Techie portal explains that all data distributed to players they will be synced with the video for review from multiple camera angles.
Players will be able to access all the data shortly after each match at the Qatar 2022 World Cup. In addition, they will receive action photos in the FIFA Player app, which they can share on social networks.
