The Russian president will say later if he recognizes the independence of two pro-Russian territories in his neighbor, which would end the peace agreements.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said he will decide on Monday whether Russia recognizes the independence of the two separatist territories in eastern Ukraine, a decision that would put an end to the peace process in this conflict.
“I have listened to your views, the decision will be made today,” Vladimir Putin told members of his Security Council at the end of a meeting broadcast on Russian television.
