Singer DLS restomods are one of the most famous creations in the world and lovers of the 964 generation of the iconic 911 manufactured between 1989 and 1994. Now, the American division of Porsche has signed a collaboration with the manufacturer to supply original engines.
Singer is one of the most desired preparers in the world, and especially among lovers of Restomods. The Californian manufacturer has become a flagship, with very advanced projects in which the Singer 911 is the true king. The transformations undergone by the iconic German model, especially the 964 generation manufactured between 1989 and 1994.
Porsche is no stranger to these works, especially the North American division of the brand that has been stealthily following its trajectory. To the point that they have reached an agreement of close cooperation, by which Singer will not have to turn to outside suppliers like Cosworth or Williams Advanced Engineering for the development of specific engines tailored to Singer’s requirements. This place will occupy porsche.
Singer will be more original thanks to Porsche
An interesting agreement that will benefit from the experience of Porsche Motorsport, which is very close to the Californian company, but it will be the tuner who finishes adjusting the famous restomod boxer engine. The alliance has already been established for future projects, so the Singer DLS Project that is currently brewing remains out and it will be the last based on a British-supplied engine from Williams Advanced Engineering.
A creation that we have already seen in development, for the first time in its history, flying on the Nürburgring circuit. Under the rear bonnet, it will feature a UK-designed six-cylinder boxer engine, capable of developing a maximum power of 500 hp and rotate at a maximum of 9,000 rpm.
An authentic jewel for lovers of high performance, and of those who offer truly unique sensations on board, because not only does the chassis receive a special set-up, but also the 911 undergoes an important slimming cure reaching to lower the weight on the scale up to 900 kilos. A series of benefits and features that, of course, are reflected in the price. Having a restomod of this category means spending a whopping million and a half euros, with the added exclusivity that production is lower. Just over 75 units.
