If you think you are an excellent draftsman, then maybe it’s time to put your skills to the test. The Pokémon Company is launching a new contest that will give you the opportunity to transform your design into an official letter from the TCG. Here we explain the bases of this contest and the other prizes that are available.
These types of contests are usually limited to only Japan, but for this occasion the invitation will also be extended to USA. Basically, you will have to choose between eight different Pokémon (Bulbasaur, Charizard, Pikachu, Arcanine, Galarian Rapidash, Scizor, Greninja, or Cramorant) and draw it doing some day-to-day activity.
Applications will begin to be reviewed from October 13, and among the judges are the president of The Pokémon Company, the president and art director at Creatures, and the official team of illustrators of the card game of Pokemon. Here is a list of the prizes.
– First place
A contestant from either Japan or the United States will receive a cash prize of $ 5,000, plus their illustration will be turned into a promo card.
– Second place
There will be two runners-up, one from Japan and the other from the United States, who will receive a cash prize of $ 3,000, plus their illustration will be turned into a promo card.
– Third place
Two third places, either from Japan or the United States, will receive a cash prize of $ 1,000.
– Judge Rewards
There will be 15 selected to receive Judge Rewards, either from Japan or the United States, who will win a cash prize of $ 500.
So there you have it, if you think you can win any of these prizes, it might be worth competing.
