Maragidyne for everyone.
Atlus is moving once again. They had been working hard for decades to build IPs that, although they enjoyed great popularity in Japan, in the West they went quite unnoticed. However, there has been a turning point that has changed the path of the company: the brilliant success of Persona 5. The change has been so important that, unlike previous installments, the games would even begin to be localized into Spanish. Well, the study, which is now in a great moment, is being the subject of very striking rumors due to the possibility that Persona 4 Golden arrives this year on PS4 and Switch, and for the possible exclusivity of Persona 6 for PlayStation 5.
We have been able to hear these rumors in NateTheHate’s podcast, where they usually dedicate a small space to mention rumors that sound in the ins and outs of the world of video games, advancing information that many times the company has not made official yet. There are also times when these rumors end in borage water, but it is true that we have been hearing from different insiders for some time the intention that the Persona saga continue exclusively at Sony, as to date, or the intention on the part of SEGA to keep bringing old titles that can continue the wake of popularity that Atlus currently has. There is no doubt that these are good times for Atlus titles and for JRPGs in general.
We have already mentioned it before: Atlus has been living a sweet moment for years. In the West, many of us began to know about Atlus with franchises like Shin Megami Tensei, Persona, or even others like Catherine, but in current times they can afford to bring back some old titles that the West barely knows about. The reason for this is the HD Remaster of Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne that came out last 2021, the improved versions of much more recent titles such as Persona 5 Royal or Catherine: Fullbody, or the appearance of fantastic IP’s like 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim.
