With the FIFA Cup Qatar 2022 close, the rage grows unchecked throughout the world. Adults and children long to collect the World Cup album with as many prints as possible, or the dream, to fill it completely. In Argentina, in particular, they even stand in lines at the shops where they are sold, they have even set up a market that resells the images at double the price of the players that are included in the album of the Italian company Panini.
It is not surprising, the World Cup is one of the events that leaves the most economic spillover, both for the host country and for related brands. According to FIFA, in Russia 2018 it generated revenues of more than four billion dollars and calculates that this amount could double with Qatar 2022.
Panini knows this, since it has released an album that allegories the soccer dispute since the World Cup in Mexico in 1970.
In South America, the amateur “kids” have taken from Argentine supermarkets the labels of the bottles of Coke. The reason? The cooler and panini they made a commercial agreement, where they hid the sheets or stamps inside them.
In social networks, different photographs of shelves full of soft drinks without the red Coca-Cola labels were shared.
These are different from the classic ones, since they have the Panini logo, so they can be distinguished more easily and the “normal” ones are not worn.
How do the Coca-Cola stickers from the World Cup album work?
As such, the figures are not the same as the Panini envelopes, these have been called “Team Believers” (team of dreamers in Spanish). Which have a special section in the album.
These plates are made up of eight players of different nationalities who will participate in the Cup. Serge Gnabri from Germany, Emiliano Martinez from Argentina, Kevin DeBruyne from Belgium, Heung Min Son from South Korea, Lika Modric from Croatia, Gavi from Spain, Declan Rice from England and Hirving Lozano from Mexico.
