A consumer from the Oxxo stores showed that some branches are asking as a requirement to leave the backpacks in a box to be able to enter the premises.
He also asked the brand if they would respond if one of those backpacks was stolen by another person due to the lack of security they had.
The stories of the bad experiences registered by the consumers of a brand are the daily bread on these digital platforms. As an example is that of a consumer of the Oxxo stores who showed on his Twitter account that some branches of the firm are asking as a requirement to leave the backpacks in a box to be able to enter the premises.
According to The Global State of Digital in 2019, a study prepared by Hootsuite and We Are Social, details that It is estimated that 3.484 billion people use social networks, this represents 45 percent of the world’s population.
That is why it is normal that among all those users who are on social networks, they use it to denounce and exhibit the brands they consume.
Consumer exhibits Oxxo for making it a requirement to leave backpacks at the entrance
Through his account on the social network Twitter, an Internet user identified as @Giimode exposed Oxxo for making it a requirement in one of its branches that customers who want to enter the store have to leave their backpacks in a box without any security at the entrance.
The tweeter shared an image where you can see the company’s sign that says “please leave your backpacks here”, and asked the brand if they were going to respond if one of those backpacks was stolen by another person due to the lack of security that their method had.
Hey gentlemen of @OXXO_Listen Is it a requirement to leave the backpacks in a box? Why don’t they put locked lockers? What if someone from Alive takes my backpack in what I buy? @Tiendas_OXXO Are you going to replace it with everything I bring inside? pic.twitter.com/erlwpJiCh8

Likewise, the consumer pointed out that this measure is also being applied in other branches of the store in the country, to prevent consumers from carrying out “ant theft”.
Before the publication, the firm’s customer service account commented lamenting the bad experience that they made the consumer live. “We are sorry for this experience, we thank you in advance for sharing with us via DM the location of the store where it happened and your phone or email to follow up”, read in Oxxo’s comment.
Ant robbery is a crime committed within corporations and carried out by staff, customers or vendors, making it difficult to detect.
Studies detail that this type of theft causes a reduction of between 25 and 30 percent of business income, and can reduce up to 15 percent of company inventory. Regularly those who carry out this type of illegality steal small objects that are easy to hide, but in the end they are added to the rest of the stolen merchandise, which ends in a great loss for the business.
Therefore many retail stores such as Walmart and Bodega Aurrerá have also implemented security measures against ant theftwhatthey have displeased consumers to the point of viralizing them on social networks.
As an example is the Bodega Aurrerá that added anti-theft sensors to the cheeses of a branch. And Walmart also places labels on the strollers of its users to be able to enter its stores to avoid being victims of this type of theft.
