The video game of Hello Games, No Man’s Sky continues to grow, and receive improvements, as its developer had promised at the beginning of the year, and with its next expansion outlawsa free update, which promises to introduce players to the game’s criminal underworld by focusing on activities such as smuggling and pirate raids, just today, sounds promising, let’s talk about what it offers us.
outlawsconverts the inhabitants of No Man’s Sky into rebels, allowing them to take on illicit missions on space stations overrun by dangerous criminals, so both solar-sail-equipped starships and enhanced space combat will help players accomplish these goals, which can apparently yield big rewards, of course, if they survive.
We share the patch notes of the expansion outlawsthis is just a summary of the main points of this update:
outlaw stations
Outlaws have taken over space stations across the galaxy. Outlaw systems are dangerous, lawless places with frequent conflicts (but all of this presents an opportunity for players with an eye for raiding passing starships…)
A new series of quests takes players to pockets of rebellion, where they will find an underworld offering pirate quests, black market technology, and the opportunity to acquire valuable goods illegally elsewhere in the galaxy. Like-minded gamers can even acquire a forged passport that will allow them to elude the authorities.
solar starship
With a unique solar-powered sail and sleek bodywork, this is the boat of choice for those looking to speed through the stars. Solar Ship is No Man’s Sky’s first new starship since early 2020. There is considerable variety in this range of ships, so look forward to exploring the galaxy to find the perfect version to match your existing fleet. The maximum number of ships a player can own has been increased from six to nine, so you don’t have to worry about limiting your fleet either.
Smuggling
Illegal goods can be purchased from rogue systems and smuggled out for significant profit. The life of a smuggler is dangerous. The Sentinels are searching for contraband, and discovery is just a payload probe away…
cargo inventories
All players, not just smugglers, will benefit from the addition of specialized cargo inventories for all starships. These high-capacity slots can store large amounts of cargo, and storage-hungry players can unlock additional slots from the ship upgrade terminal found on every space station.
squads
Players can now recruit and upgrade their own teammates. Collect your perfect set of ships and pilots. Each pilot comes with their own abilities and can be upgraded over time to improve combat ability.
space combat
Space combat has been overhauled to offer speed and excitement. Handling has been improved, weapons have new visual effects, and enemy spaceships now have shields. Depth has also been added to weapon selection with a variety of specialized secondary effects, such as slowing enemy engines or disabling shield systems. Ship-to-ship combat can now also occur within a planet’s atmosphere, and pirates can raid their settlements. For those who find space combat difficult, flight accessibility has been significantly improved with a new auto-follow mode.
Recall that recently No Man’s Skywon the award for evolving game in the BAFTA British Academy Games Awardsthis project Hello Games continues to make amazing changes for his players, and while some players might find it very difficult, No Man’s Skywe must recognize that its history and game dynamics is quite interesting.
