The opposition bloc made up of the PRI, PAN, PRD and the Citizen Movement in the Permanent Commission of the Congress of the Union announced that it will reject the request to hold an extraordinary period to discuss the secondary law on revocation of the mandate and impeachment.
The PRI Senator Claudia Ruiz Massieu affirmed that the need to legislate this steam law is an unnecessary proposal since the ordinary period will begin in 10 days.
“(It is) a law of revocation of mandate, which we are convinced, violates the Constitution and violates the spirit of revocation of mandate. In the PRI we are in favor of the revocation of the mandate, that Mexico have a law that complies with the objectives set out in the Constitution, that is why we oppose the approval of steam, “said the PRI in a press conference.

Yesterday, the parliamentary group of Morena tried to bring the approval of the extraordinary period to the plenary session of the Permanent, but it remained one vote from reaching the qualified majority to convene.
PAN deputy Marco Adame argued that requesting the analysis of such a complex law in an extraordinary period obeys a personal whim of the President of the Republic, so Congress must resist with dignity.
“This stems from a personal obsession,” said the blue and white legislator.

Dante Delgado, senator for Movimiento Ciudadano, affirmed that his bench will oppose the extraordinary period, considering that it should be discussed in the new Legislature that begins on September 1.
Dulce María Sauri, a PRI deputy, affirmed that if Morena manages to summon the extraordinary period to discuss the revocation of the mandate, they will promote an action of unconstitutionality due to the irregularities and vices that the initiative contemplates.
At this time, the Permanent Commission is discussing whether or not the initiative should be analyzed in a special period of sessions.
